Uro-oncology

Robotic surgery
Platform that has been widely used in the treatment of mainly urological tumors in several centers around the world. In the United States, 95% of prostate removal surgeries for prostate tumors are performed robotically.
I also have additional training (Fellowship - 2890-hour lato sensu postgraduate degree) in robotic surgery. I took a robotic surgery proficiency exam from Intuitive Surgical in Atlanta, Georgia, United States.
I also completed shorter training courses in robotic surgery in Paris and Bordeaux, France, and in Orlando, USA. Click here to learn more about robotic surgery!

Urodynamic study/evaluation
Examination performed to understand the functioning of the patient's bladder and urination, to plan and monitor treatments for urinary difficulties or incontinence. Assessment of people with urine loss on their clothes, people with a very weak urine stream and those with neurogenic bladder.
Vasectomy
Outpatient surgical procedure to prevent pregnancy. The procedure takes a few minutes and the patient usually goes home shortly afterward. But remember, having this procedure is an important decision because the procedure is permanent!
Vasectomy reversal
Microsurgical procedure performed under a microscope to reverse a previously performed vasectomy with the aim of achieving a new natural pregnancy. It is a delicate and highly specialized procedure that requires very special training for the surgeon to be able to perform it. The postoperative period is almost painless, with the patient going home on the same day of the surgery or one day after.
Phimosis and postectomy
Phimosis is characterized by the inability of the skin covering the glans penis to retract, which can cause infections, difficulty urinating and even lead to penile cancer. Some cases can be treated with ointments and creams, while others are treated with postectomy or circumcision surgery.
Prostate cancer
It is the most common cancer in men worldwide (second only to skin tumors). Medicine evolves every year in the treatment of this disease and today we have several treatment options.
